Black Friday

We weren't going to go Black Friday shopping this year because we don't have any money so we didn't really look at the ads...lol. If I had money I would have gone to go get a new front load high efficiency washer and dryer....possibly in the color RED cuz I like Christmas (hint hint...if anybody is feeling EXTREME Christmas Cheer just post an anonymous comment and I'll send you my delivery address....TOTALLY JK....kind of....unless you really are rich and have $2000 or so that you wouldn't even notice was missing....okay I'm done) =P

Back on subject....so my beautiful mom-in-law saw some things and had to work the next morning so we went to Target for her.

They opened at 12 a.m.....for anyone who didn't know....and we got there at about 11:58 p.m. because we really didn't think ALL of St. George was going to be here.

If you are familiar with the St. George Target....we are in line PAST LOWES....which is like 10 stores down from Target.

We thought well once they start letting people in the line should go pretty quickly.....but Target was pretty organized.....I think they were only letting a few people in at a time.

AND

I'm probably on some persons random blog or youtube video post cuz some dude in a car pulled up next to us and asked if we really thought we were going to get what we wanted. I told him probably not. Then he asked what we were getting...and I just said something small and then laughed. He laughed back and the drove off while the whole time he was videoing me with his phone. =P

BUT

HAVE NO FEAR

We got everything we came for.....I even got the New Moon DVD for only $4 bucks! Thats what I was going for...as in something small. lol I also got a Christmas Present for Kirra that was 1/2 off. Woot Woot! :)

Then we had to stand in line.....

we zig-zagged through isles clear from the back of the store. 

It only took us an hour and 1/2 to check out.

It was funny because the same people directly behind us in line to get in the store were directly behind us in line to check out.

Even funnier which made my night even better....while we were standing in line to check out...all of a sudden there was this random cart with no person in front of me. I was talking with the couple behind us and I was like....what the heck where did that come from. So we all just went past it and got back in line. I was trying to figure out whose cart it was then I recognized one of the ladies in front of me but was confused cuz I thought she was by herself but she was with a group of people. So I asked her if she had lost her cart...and she looked around and looked so confused and then she was like OMG I forgot my cart and ran to go get it! It was sooooo funny! 

She was thanking me and then saying how it was her first time Black Friday shopping and it was her bedtime. lol. It was great.

Love, Love, Loved it!

Last Thursday I scored.

We were going to Biolife and 94.1 was there giving away tickets for Breaking Dawn. 

I entered the drawing....and I won.

As soon as the guy started saying my last name I knew it was me...."Alison Ar...uh...Arg" I screamed "Thats me!!! Thats me!!!" As I ran & pushed my way through the crowd knocking mothers and their small children down along my way.

It was a hoot.

Ok so that last part didn't really happen but I was pretty excited.

So I won two tickets...we had to be there before 7 to line up and they couldn't tell us what time the movie was starting.

Bella and Edward were getting married while we waited in line.

When we got in the theatre they gave out a bunch of prizes....some pretty nice ones too...but we didn't win :( boohoo.

Then the movie started at 8....while all the people that actually had to buy their tickets were out standing in line in the cold waiting for their movie to start at midnight.

I really liked it a lot...yeah I'm a twi-hard. 

I'm one of those silly girly girls.

The funny thing is I defied reading books all the way to age 26. Simply refused to read a book. Everybody at good ol' Berrett Pest Control (my old work) would always tell me to read twilight. "Its sooo good. You HAVE to read them!" I was like yeah yeah whatever...thats what they all say.

Then I watched the first movie.

I thought...what the heck I'll try reading the book.

Now I'm a reading little fool....have a bookcase and the whole she-bang. 

Even with books that I haven't even read yet....just waiting to get their little pages looked over by my beady little eyes.

Life's Precious Moments

Favorite moments of my day.

1. Seeing and getting a picture of my favorite face of Kirra's when she doesn't like her food.

3. Receiving sweet besos from Kirra without even asking.

4. Getting kisses from my hubby when he got home from school. ;)

5. Getting my butt kicked at the gym from my P.T.

6. Seeing Kirra wave bye to the daycare lady at the gym just after she was screaming from us leaving her there.

7. Being able to eat at Panda Express and still be under my total calories and fat for the day.

8. Watch Kirra give sweet besos to her daddy before bed.

9. Receiving mas besos from Kirra before putting her down for bed.

10. Watching Kirra grab her blanket in her crib and roll over and cuddle with it the way she does every time.

Yes....save me...please! From this ridiculous movie! I came into our room last night and this was on our television. My condolences if you really like this movie....but its horrible. 

The acting....the effects....everything....LAME! I was laughing at serious parts because the acting was so gay. 

I can't say anything more.

Our Little Zombie Princess

Kirra's first Halloween....she was a Zombie Princess...

Any guesses on who decided what she would be for Halloween?

I had seen the CUTEST Ladybug costume on craigslist....but he refused to let me get it. She was going to be a zombie.....so I added the princess. Although she looks more like a zombie witch than a princess because we shopped for her costume on Halloween day. =P

But she still is super cute....the prettiest zombie princess...or witch out there! :)

They had a little trunk or treat at a car dealership so we took her there. We got a free pumpkin and they had a little picture booth where we took pictures. They are super cute but our scanner isn't working so I can't get them on here. :(

She looked so funny with her little tights here. lol

After that we went home and handed out candy to the trick or treaters.....we figured we wouldn't get a tons of trick or treaters so we got regular size candy bars and handed those out. We were the cool place. Most of the kids....especially the teenagers were very happy. One kid was like "and I wanted to go to the big houses"

Ya'all know how much I love decorating for Halloween. I found this big spider at the DI. I was SUPER excited....we had fun decorating.

Happy Birthday To Me!

I had another Birthday....other than my age it was pretty good!

Since we live so close to Vegas we went to Vegas. Plus Braulio's grandparents came to town and we met them there so it was a double wammy. 

Thanks to my AMAZING brother he hooked us up on a sweet deal on a room. ;)

AND...

Thanks to his AMAZING wife....she watched our precious little Kirra overnight for us. 

It was hard and sad to see her go...because it was our first night without her....we gave her lots and lots of kisses.

BUT...

It was also good to have a night to ourselves...its been awhile. :)

So we went to the haunted houses....the Fright Dome. They were pretty fun...they had several different haunted houses and you could go on their rides as well. I will say though.....one good thing about Texas, their haunted house was TONS scarier....didn't really get too scared at the fright dome....there were a couple good scares though. 

My sis-in-law was saying how she thought it was funny that I like haunted houses and wanted to go for my b-day. Cuz I HATE scary movies....and Braulio loves them. But for some reason I love being scared in a haunted house. Maybe just cuz my B-day is 5 days away from Halloween and I just love Halloween.

Awww...I love her so much! 

When we picked her up she saw me and started crawling as fast as her little hands and legs would let her. I seriously can't get enough of her!

And so it begins...

I don't even want to think about it.....please just let her stay little forever! AHHH!!! 

A couple Sundays ago at church THIS little boy below stole a kiss from my baby girl!

Braulio was holding her....and at first I didn't realize what was happening! The little boy was standing on the bench in front of us and he just grabbed Kirra's face with both hands and planted one right on her! Kirra gave him a look of shock and a the dirtiest look I've ever seen! Her look said "what in the world did you just do to me?!" Seriously though, she looked really shocked and didn't know what to think. lol

Oh....and she is just the little flirt herself! Anytime she sees little boys she just starts babbling away...trying to get their attention. It happened at church again today....this time we were all sitting on the same bench and this little boy kept coming over and touching her feet and looking at her. Kirra just looked right on back and started talking to him.  Even this boy's older brother was flirting with her! 

Braulio is most definitely going to need to have his shotguns ready.....cuz I am not prepared for this yet! I swear...everywhere we go everybody tells us how beautiful she is...and its true...she IS beautiful...Its not like I'm her mother and have a biased opinion or anything. I went to biolife one day and took her into the day care...and there was this boy probably 5 years old and he just sat there next to me and asked me what her name was and just kept repeating over and over "She is SO cute!" I'm not kidding one bit. 

But seriously....just look at those eyes....I guess you just can't resist to take in the beauty!

Date Night

Braulio took me out on a date the other night and it was so nice to get out just the two of us. Its really been a long time since we have gone out just us two and I really enjoy it when we get to spend time together like that. 

We went up on one of the St. George Hills and looked at the city lights and the went to a movie afterwards. Good times! :)

I finished it!!!

I'm so excited!! I finished Kirra's baby blanket today!!! I had to start over a few times because I couldn't get my edges straight, but I finally figured it out and now its done!! So happy! :)

I wasn't sure about the green and pink border at first, but once I finished it I ended up really liking it. Wasn't sure if it was really going to go with the purple and pink. The blanket itself was pretty quick and easy once I got it down....if you want to learn how to do it go here.

Then the border I was just going to do something really simple, but the lady that makes the youtube videos explains it so well and makes it pretty easy! Go here if you want to learn how to do the border. That is the first of 4 videos. I also didn't do the ribbon part which is really pretty but you have to sew it down and I don't like to sew much....lol. But she has a lot of different videos for different things.

I'm going to start making other things now because I really enjoy crocheting. Plus I am now going to make it tradition and make a baby blanket for all of my future babies. After they get here of course. :)  

Randomness

I took these pictures last year wanting to blog about this.....so here I go....lol.

My hometown where I grew up got their FIRST AND ONLY stop light! lol I couldn't believe it when we were driving into town to go see family. Complete craziness!!! My little hometown is growing....awww.

This happened literally last November....I know...I'm a little behind. lol.

So excited!

I started crocheting a baby blanket for Kirra. I've only made like 1 or 2 blankets in my life that was like 10 years ago or more....so I'm very much a beginner. BUT! I'm so excited.....I think its going to turn out way cute!!!

Lake Powell Fun Time

Last weekend we decided to go to Lake Powell. It was a good way to end our summer I suppose...and its a good thing we went when we did....cuz now it is cold.... :( and last weekend was perfect....all except for a little storm.

Braulio and my dad went to go find a place to camp on the jet skis then came back to get me and Kirra. Braulio, Kirra, and I road on one jet ski while my dad drove the house boat to the spot they found. I was scared to death to take Kirra on the jet ski, I held onto her with my life. The life jacket consumed her....I think she could barely move...lol. But she didn't really try....she was so tired she the poor little thing fell asleep on the way there.  I really don't know how she could have fallen asleep with that thing on though...she looked so uncomfortable!

She was so cute playing in the sand for her first time....she didn't dare crawl in it, and of course she kept trying to eat it....so we let her eat just a little bit and of course was disgusted by it so she quit trying....lol

The water was so cold she didn't really like it. She would start crying every time I dangled her feet. So I sat with her on the sand and eventually put her in her floaty and she gradually got used to it...and started splashing and playing with her little water toys.

We had a lot of fun...I love Lake Powell....when I was a kid we would go every summer. There almost always is a random storm though.  They are so sudden! Its so beautiful and sunny and then out of nowhere a black cloud comes out of the sky and it gets super windy. I think I have become excessively worried all the time because of my cute little dad who is so care free. Almost every time something crazy happens to us at Lake Powell. 

When the storm hit luckily my dad had tied the jet skis to the house boat....and we were anchored, but not tightly cuz the house boat turned sideways and we were rocking a lot...lol. We had all our bedding up top I had to go up there and lay on everything and hold it so it wouldn't blow away, then we brougt it all down. I seriously hate the wind though....and I get so nervous being on the water during a storm. The weather said it was only supposed to last a couple hours but the wind kept coming and going....we didn't get much sleep anyway because Kirra wasn't sleeping good. Other than that we had a good time! :)

I wish I would have taken some pictures but on saturday when we were getting ready to leave a HUGE  houseboat parked by us. I don't think I've seen a bigger houseboat! It had 3 decks....the guy gave us a tour and told us it cost around a million!!! Can you believe that?! That is craziness! They had it custom built. I can't imagine how his real house looks like or how much that cost! Very much craziness!

Stay A Little Longer Summer!

So the other day we bought Kirra this little inflatable pool that was on sale at target since summer is coming to an end. :( Boo for upcoming cold season! So I put it together today and took Kirra swimming in our little back yard. 

Its so cute! I love it! Unfortunately we don't have a faucet outside because you can hook up a hose to that little orange thing under her hand and it will spray water into the little hippo pool. So fun!

She had fun though, she was crawling around, playing with her toys, and splashing the water. So cute! :)

Don't mind that I look hideous in this movie....obviously was having a lazy day....oh wait...I have quite a few of those....anyway she was very hungry and was very tired....and very sick of waiting for me to go feed her her bananas! 

I didn't understand what she was doing at first....because I would kiss her then she would go at me open mouthed like she was trying to kiss me back....but she was screaming. She hasn't quite learned how to bite yet....she just kept going at my face open mouthed and screaming. lol. I felt her teeth on my cheek a little bit once and thats when I think I realized she really was trying to bite me. I thought how could my sweet little 7 month old be throwing a tantrum and trying to bite me already! 

She is still super cute and luckily she is still a mommas girl...even though I make her mad sometimes. I'm so not excited for when she is 2 and starts the real tantrums! :)
