I LOVE HALLOWEEN

So about a week ago or so I decorated a little bit for Halloween. I hardly have any Halloween decorations and don't really have any money to buy any, (even though I bought a couple things) so I made some homemade ones! If I had more money I would go all out on Halloween decorations and make my house and porch really creepy.

So these first two pictures our the homemade ones. I just got out some vases, tissue paper that I had saved up, and we found the eyes and mouths online and printed them out, and then cut them out. I only have 1 light to make one glow though, I need to get a couple more lights or use glow sticks on Halloween night or something.

The two small pumpkins and the runner I broke down and bought at Thai Pan cuz I really liked them, the silver pumpkin I got at a yard sale for 5 bucks, the price tag still on the bottom, originally 25 bucks...I love yard sales.
These little hangy paper things I got at another yard sale for only a dollar, I have like 8 or 10 more that I haven't hung up cuz they actually kinda suck. They require AAA batteries, and I turned them on for like 3 hours and the batteries were already dead. I was so mad, no wonder the lady sold them for only a buck. Soooo I was thinking I could get some regular small christmas lights or something and stick them inside to light them up at night, cuz they look pretty good lit up.
We also got a bag of glow in the dark spider web stuff at a yard sale for only 50 cents that we still need to put up.  So yeah...I love halloween...its only in the best month of the whole year... and it has nothing to do with my birthday being 5 days away from it or anything like that. October is just a cool month thats all. ;)

Our baby girl!!

So last week we went to our Dr's appointment for the baby and our first ultrasound. There was no way we were going to wait and be surprised if its a boy or a girl....I think we would both go crazy.

Both of us were fine with either a boy or a girl cuz we want both eventually, but I think we both wanted a little girl just a little bit more. Now my side of the family, especially my mom, wanted us to have a little girl because she has 3 times as many grandsons as she does granddaughters. Braulio's side of the family, pretty much everyone, wanted us to have a little boy because they have 2 granddaughters so it would be the first boy. So they all seemed a little disappointed...lol..but I know they are still way happy and excited too. My mom freaked out she was so excited that we are having a little girl.

So our Dr started searching around and at first couldn't really tell cuz she had both her legs in the same position, but then she moved a little bit and he said I'm pretty sure its a girl cuz you look and there are no little boy parts sticking out there, its pretty flat...lol.

I didn't show it much but I was really happy inside and a little tear came out....I'm way excited! We are gonna have a baby girl. He checked her heart and spinal cord and everything to make sure she is healthy and everything looks good...she is a healthy little girl!

Here is a couple of my fav pics of her.

This one she has her mouth open a little bit.

This one looks like she is sucking on her thumb..I love it! :)

A few summer trips

Ok...Ok...I am such a slacker at this blogging thing! I so wanted to be able to to write something every day or at least once a week but I guess I'm just not cool enough to get that down...lol...I have so much to catch up on...ugh!

So we had a pretty good summer...even though we literally don't have any money somehow we have been able to take a few summer trips.

One trip we went to Calf Creek with my brother Andy, his wife Jill, and kids, and Jill's sister, and also my brother Eric and his kids. It is really beautiful there, the camp ground sits by a little creek and you can hike through the creek or play in it, it was pretty fun. We had a huge water fight, including mud and moss.

We also went hiking to some narrows. That was also really beautiful, we didn't know if my big belly would make it through, Andy thought we had turned back cuz I couldn't fit, but we made it through...I had to have a few hands pull and push in certain parts of the hike but we made it! lol

Doogie getting ready for the hike

We also went to Lake Powell which I have been wanting to go there so bad since we have moved back to Utah. My dad goes at least once every year and he had already been a few times this year and told us whenever we wanted to go he would take us.

So we planned a time to go with my dad and we took Braulio's family. His brother Andres, and sister Stefani with her husband Jahvel and their kids.

We got there later than expected so my dad had Braulio and Andres take the jet ski's out first to find a spot to dock the house boat. I call it our little ghetto white trash house boat cuz its so old....but its really nice to have! The best part about it is sleeping up on top and seeing all the beautiful stars above. It is sooooo beautiful because there are no city lights and you can see sooo many stars! I love it!

So we ventured out in the dark on the house boat, Andres came back to find us and we docked next to a few other house boats in a nice sandy area.

Sand Mountain

The next day we played in the water with the jet ski's, we went to sand mountain where its this huge hill of sand. Everybody hiked up but me and my dad. Its pretty steep. We also inflated this huge floaty that I've been wanting to try out and we would float in the middle of the lake with it. It was good times, I really love Lake Powell.

Beautiful Sunrise

Then we also got to go to Dinsneyland. When we first moved to St. George we cleaned some school buses for a couple hours and we got free Disneyland tickets. We went with Braulio's family. It was pretty fun.

Velani and Mia, Stefani's girls were pretty excited to go to Disneyland. When we got there we went on a ride that looked fine, but ended up being scary and the girls came out crying and didn't really want to ride anything after that, but we got them to ride a few more rides, and they were super excited to see all the Disney Princesses.

Stefani is so creative and made some shirts for her, Rossi, and me, and made an Ariel costume for Velani, and Minnie Mouse costume for Mia. They were so cute!!

We were there for most of the morning...and then got hungry, went to lunch and nobody wanted to go back except for Stefani and the girls. So we all stayed and Stefani, Rossi, Velani, and Mia went back for the rest of the day.

I was super tired and it was super hot. Plus I'm pregnant and my pelvis or something was aching. I wanted to go on some of the good rides but the lines were soooo long and I really didn't feel like waiting in line for hours.

So the rest of us went back to the hotel and played words with friends on the iphone for a few hours...lol...then later that night we went to the pool and swam and got in the jacuzzi. I unfortunately could only put my feet in the jacuzzi and was very sad about it because I LOVE Jacuzzis. Oh well. We got to watch the Disney fireworks from the pool cuz our hotel was pretty much just across the street, so that was pretty cool.

We also went to the beach for a little while, we didn't get in cuz it was really cold and we are wuss's but we took pictures and stood in it and thats about it. I love the beach.

So there's catchin up for ya! I need to really stop slacking and get on this blog thing more often!
