PURE Craziness!

(Random pictures from the drive to utah)

Well, its been awhile. We finally made it to St. George. On our way we took a side trip and went to four corners...and of course it was closed!!! For construction?!? Can you believe that...what kind of construction are you going to do on four corners to close it down?

We got to St. George on Sunday evening. On monday we were hoping that we would be able to go see the condo. We went to pick up the keys, but the tenants hadn't turned them in yet! We finally got them on Tuesday afternoon...we went and looked and our condo was trashed!! I was really depressed when we walked in....and DISGUSTED!! I really don't understand HOW people can live like that?

(This is after we painted, if you look closely you can tell the difference in the baseboards. Then the carpet...thats not even the worse part of it...when we pulled it up you could see the stains had gone all the way to the cement....nasty)

We definitely need new carpet, and paint. One of the cabinet doors was completely torn off, one of the bedroom doors has a hole in it, very very dirty everywhere, AND they replaced my washer and dryer with a worse one......AND they didn't tell management about a leak from the washer, so we have to replace the wall behind the washer, and there is mold on the wall on the other side inside the closet! UGH! I was so frustrated...they definitely do NOT get their deposit back.

We took pictures of everything before we remodeled anything, but they are on our other camera and we can't find it right now. =P

(shopping for things to remodel the condo-aka me being weird)

So we finally picked out some paint and have been painting all day for 3 days...almost got it done....and it is looking tons better already!

Now we just have to find some carpet that doesn't cost a fortune...cuz a lot of it does...and also put in tile or something like that in the kitchen, hallways, and bathrooms. With time once we have jobs again we will start replacing light fixtures and door handles and small stuff like that, because its a little outdated. We are very excited though because little by little it is becoming our little home that we are creating together! It gets tiring, but at the same time it is very rewarding!

Random note for the day.....this gigantic tumbleweed tried to attack our car....it is freaking huge! yikes!
