I LOVE HALLOWEEN

So about a week ago or so I decorated a little bit for Halloween. I hardly have any Halloween decorations and don't really have any money to buy any, (even though I bought a couple things) so I made some homemade ones! If I had more money I would go all out on Halloween decorations and make my house and porch really creepy.

So these first two pictures our the homemade ones. I just got out some vases, tissue paper that I had saved up, and we found the eyes and mouths online and printed them out, and then cut them out. I only have 1 light to make one glow though, I need to get a couple more lights or use glow sticks on Halloween night or something.

The two small pumpkins and the runner I broke down and bought at Thai Pan cuz I really liked them, the silver pumpkin I got at a yard sale for 5 bucks, the price tag still on the bottom, originally 25 bucks...I love yard sales.
These little hangy paper things I got at another yard sale for only a dollar, I have like 8 or 10 more that I haven't hung up cuz they actually kinda suck. They require AAA batteries, and I turned them on for like 3 hours and the batteries were already dead. I was so mad, no wonder the lady sold them for only a buck. Soooo I was thinking I could get some regular small christmas lights or something and stick them inside to light them up at night, cuz they look pretty good lit up.
We also got a bag of glow in the dark spider web stuff at a yard sale for only 50 cents that we still need to put up.  So yeah...I love halloween...its only in the best month of the whole year... and it has nothing to do with my birthday being 5 days away from it or anything like that. October is just a cool month thats all. ;)

Our baby girl!!

So last week we went to our Dr's appointment for the baby and our first ultrasound. There was no way we were going to wait and be surprised if its a boy or a girl....I think we would both go crazy.

Both of us were fine with either a boy or a girl cuz we want both eventually, but I think we both wanted a little girl just a little bit more. Now my side of the family, especially my mom, wanted us to have a little girl because she has 3 times as many grandsons as she does granddaughters. Braulio's side of the family, pretty much everyone, wanted us to have a little boy because they have 2 granddaughters so it would be the first boy. So they all seemed a little disappointed...lol..but I know they are still way happy and excited too. My mom freaked out she was so excited that we are having a little girl.

So our Dr started searching around and at first couldn't really tell cuz she had both her legs in the same position, but then she moved a little bit and he said I'm pretty sure its a girl cuz you look and there are no little boy parts sticking out there, its pretty flat...lol.

I didn't show it much but I was really happy inside and a little tear came out....I'm way excited! We are gonna have a baby girl. He checked her heart and spinal cord and everything to make sure she is healthy and everything looks good...she is a healthy little girl!

Here is a couple of my fav pics of her.

This one she has her mouth open a little bit.

This one looks like she is sucking on her thumb..I love it! :)

A few summer trips

Ok...Ok...I am such a slacker at this blogging thing! I so wanted to be able to to write something every day or at least once a week but I guess I'm just not cool enough to get that down...lol...I have so much to catch up on...ugh!

So we had a pretty good summer...even though we literally don't have any money somehow we have been able to take a few summer trips.

One trip we went to Calf Creek with my brother Andy, his wife Jill, and kids, and Jill's sister, and also my brother Eric and his kids. It is really beautiful there, the camp ground sits by a little creek and you can hike through the creek or play in it, it was pretty fun. We had a huge water fight, including mud and moss.

We also went hiking to some narrows. That was also really beautiful, we didn't know if my big belly would make it through, Andy thought we had turned back cuz I couldn't fit, but we made it through...I had to have a few hands pull and push in certain parts of the hike but we made it! lol

Doogie getting ready for the hike

We also went to Lake Powell which I have been wanting to go there so bad since we have moved back to Utah. My dad goes at least once every year and he had already been a few times this year and told us whenever we wanted to go he would take us.

So we planned a time to go with my dad and we took Braulio's family. His brother Andres, and sister Stefani with her husband Jahvel and their kids.

We got there later than expected so my dad had Braulio and Andres take the jet ski's out first to find a spot to dock the house boat. I call it our little ghetto white trash house boat cuz its so old....but its really nice to have! The best part about it is sleeping up on top and seeing all the beautiful stars above. It is sooooo beautiful because there are no city lights and you can see sooo many stars! I love it!

So we ventured out in the dark on the house boat, Andres came back to find us and we docked next to a few other house boats in a nice sandy area.

Me and Dad

Sand Mountain

The next day we played in the water with the jet ski's, we went to sand mountain where its this huge hill of sand. Everybody hiked up but me and my dad. Its pretty steep. We also inflated this huge floaty that I've been wanting to try out and we would float in the middle of the lake with it. It was good times, I really love Lake Powell.

Beautiful Sunrise

Then we also got to go to Dinsneyland. When we first moved to St. George we cleaned some school buses for a couple hours and we got free Disneyland tickets. We went with Braulio's family. It was pretty fun.

Velani and Mia, Stefani's girls were pretty excited to go to Disneyland. When we got there we went on a ride that looked fine, but ended up being scary and the girls came out crying and didn't really want to ride anything after that, but we got them to ride a few more rides, and they were super excited to see all the Disney Princesses.

Stefani is so creative and made some shirts for her, Rossi, and me, and made an Ariel costume for Velani, and Minnie Mouse costume for Mia. They were so cute!!

We were there for most of the morning...and then got hungry, went to lunch and nobody wanted to go back except for Stefani and the girls. So we all stayed and Stefani, Rossi, Velani, and Mia went back for the rest of the day.

I was super tired and it was super hot. Plus I'm pregnant and my pelvis or something was aching. I wanted to go on some of the good rides but the lines were soooo long and I really didn't feel like waiting in line for hours.

So the rest of us went back to the hotel and played words with friends on the iphone for a few hours...lol...then later that night we went to the pool and swam and got in the jacuzzi. I unfortunately could only put my feet in the jacuzzi and was very sad about it because I LOVE Jacuzzis. Oh well. We got to watch the Disney fireworks from the pool cuz our hotel was pretty much just across the street, so that was pretty cool.

We also went to the beach for a little while, we didn't get in cuz it was really cold and we are wuss's but we took pictures and stood in it and thats about it. I love the beach.

So there's catchin up for ya! I need to really stop slacking and get on this blog thing more often!

Wowzers

Sooooo.....Its been awhile.....such a long while I don't really know what to say.....about 2 1/2 months ago I was going to do a really creative blog announcing that I'm pregnant....yeah that happened...not. Pretty much everybody should know by now anyhoo.

It was fun telling family though. We played a game with Braulio's family to let them know. Its called "the game of things" its pretty fun. We just had everybody make up their own sentences, but secretly we had created our own already and used those instead. Nobody had any idea.

They were all about being pregnant or babies etc. Such as "Things you put in a baby bag" or "Things you never say to a pregnant lady" you read it out and everybody writes their own response. The last one said "Things you are going to buy for Alison & Braulio's baby shower" at first everybody was like ok...? and they didn't catch on and they were about to start writing their response....then Stefani my sis in law was like are you really pregnant...and I was starting to cry and said yes. Everybody gave hugs and they are all way excited.

Then that same weekend we went down to Beaver. We were going to do the same game, but it would have been very difficult with my family....so I ended up just writing on a big piece of paper "We're having a baby!" folded it up and handed to my dad.....saying Hey dad I found this note its for you. He opened it and was like you're pregnant?! My mom overheard and was like WHAT?!? Then everybody gave big hugs once again. It was fun times.

So hey everyone...I'm pregnant....and very sick. Maybe thats why I've been avoiding writing for so looong. I literally threw up 4 or 5 times last saturday....and not to mention....we were garage selling and almost threw up at somebodies house at their garage sale.....um THATS NOT EMBARRASSING. So we went to the DI and I threw up there in the bathroom instead...then afterwards we had to go to the grocery store and I threw up there as well....then a few more times when we got home. Let me tell ya I LOVE being pregnant.

Well I'm now 13 weeks today and still feeling nauseated.  I really hope it will go away soon like most women I have talked to say it does. Cuz I really don't know how much more of this vomiting I can handle. Baby is being very naughty and its going to get some spankings when it comes out! lol just kidding :)

Anyhoo....thats pretty much all the excitedness that is going on around here. I've stopped taking pictures lately.....I'm sure I have a couple....but I'm really to lazy right now to hunt them down. We had a great 4th and 24th of July, took a random quick trip to Texas which was quite fun...and I didn't vomit the whole time I was there so that was great....and thats our story for now. Hopefully I don't bore ya'll too much the next time I decide to write! :)

Memorial weekend, the weekend after, and yesterday... =P

So a lot of stuff has happened. We had a good memorial weekend. We went to Beaver cuz most of my family was there for the weekend. We mostly played games and just hung out with each other. I was nice to not complain when the boys wanted to play risk, cuz I really hate that game and its soooooo long. But they had a good time. Monday morning we went to the cemetary cuz every memorial day beaver does a cute little program there. My cute little daddy sang.

Then we walked over and looked at the graves. My grandparents, my cousin nancy, and Alex and Adri my niece and nephew are buried here. Its really hard for me to be there without crying. My niece and nephew were killed in a fire in 1999. They were only 3 and 18 months old. I miss them so much and wish I could see them growing up with the rest of my nieces and nephews.

Later on that day we took the jet ski's to minersville res. It got really windy so it was actually really cold. Its amazing how much colder Beaver is than St. George. I was freezing! The water would splash in your face from the wind and the jet ski and it was cold!!! But it was a lot of fun. We went with my dad and my nieces and nephews. Spencer, Jessica, Josh, and Jacob.

My brother Matt and sis-in-law Ellen came to our house that same week, and my parents came to St. George as well and we went to Red Lobster for Matt's birthday. After that we got some icecream at Nielsons. It was pretty good.

Last Saturday we went to Zion's cuz it was national park day and you could get in free.  We just went on a couple little hikes but they were really beautiful. Both hikes had little waterfalls falling off of the rocks. The 2nd one we went to had a lot more water falling and if the wind hit it right you got soaked. It felt really nice though cuz it was starting to get really hot!

We went with Braulio's family and their ward. The weather was perfect and it was really beautiful. We had a a lot of fun!

Then yesterday my dad brought the jet skis cuz I get wednesdays off work and we went to Sand Hollow. It was a lot of fun. The water was nice and cool, it felt good to jump in. It was kind of windy too so at some parts the water was really choppy and it was kinda crazy going over them with the jet ski.

We also cliff jumped once just off a little cliff. But its so scary...lol....my dad jumped really quickly and it took Braulio and I probably 10 minutes to jump off. It always gets me freaked out...lol. There were some other cliffs that are a lot higher that a bunch of highschool kids were jumping off of. It was pretty crazy. I wish I had some pictures but I didn't want to risk getting my camera wet. We had a lot of fun though.

Beat down by skinny old ladies

So you should have seen me at the gym on thursday.....it was PATHETIC but HILAAARIOUS. I wish I had a video.  I went to an abs class, but the instructor worked much more than just our abs. I was the youngest one in the class...(besides one other girl was probably about my age) and I was literally the fattest one in the class! There were all these ladies at least 40 and OLDER that were ALL skinny minny and KICKING MY BUTT! Even this little old guy that had to at least be in his 50's or 60's. There I was in the class grunting & huffing because I couldn't do 1/2 the stuff that they were doing in that class, and everybody else looking at me like I'm some crazy! LOL!  Oh and it is now Sunday and my WHOLE body still aches. Yesterday was worse, I could barely move, my arms and legs hurt bad, and it hurts really bad to cough or sneeze because of my abs. =P Lol It was great times let me tell you!

Also I am now officially addicted to garage/yard sales. You can find the BEST deals at those things. We go every Saturday.  =P We've found some shelves to decorate the house with, some other decorative items, a beautiful vase that normally probably costs 40 bucks or more and got it for 10 (that one was actually at the D.I. but it was still a great deal) and clothes and lots of fun stuff. I'm addicted.

Last night some of my family came to St. George and we spent some time with them. My brother and sis-in-law dropped my nieces and nephews off while they went to the temple and we all played Little Big Planet, then Andy & Jill got back and we ate dinner and watched The Blind Side. I LOVE that movie, it is so stinkin good! It was a lot of fun....I love being with family!

My new job is going well, its a little stressful sometimes because there is SO MUCH to learn, but I know I will get it eventually with lots of practice and I'll be making the big bucks...lol.

AND that is the update for the week....I've been really lame at picture taking lately cuz I need to charge the battery and I'm really lazy to go and find it and plug it in etc....I know...lame. So no new pictures for now...

Ridding of the Fatness

So I pretty much look like I'm pregnant....and I'm not. (just in case you were wondering) ;) SO......we got gym passes today.....AND....worked out today!!! I'm excited...I really want to lose weight cuz I have gained a lot...if you can't tell in my pictures. We can count the picture in my previous post as my before picture...and when I lose some good weight, I will do a before and after, cuz I AM going to lose weight. So starting today I am ridding myself of fatness and I can't wait to be skinny again. =P

Plasma Fun Time

This folks, is what happens when you entrust lovelies to stick your arm at the plasma center that really aren't confident or sure in what they are doing. They don't get it in the vein...your arm starts to burn like its on fire (even though I've never been on fire but it seems to hurt really bad) and this is the end product a week and 1/2 later! (It looked a lot worse before...and hurt a lot worse too)

THE END

Its a CHRISTMAS MIRACLE!

SO we are FINALLY done remodeling our condo! YAY! It is sooo nice to be done. We even cleaned off the porch today, the only thing on there now is some blinds we need to take to storage and the refrigerator that we need to sell. It now feels like home and we can now relax...besides looking for jobs! lol

So here are a bunch of before and after pictures so you can see all the fun that we had!

Before

After

Before

In the Process

After

Before
(Here we had to tear out the wall because of mold....so much fun)!

(This is the other side of that wall, behind the washer and dryer, so we had to tear out the wall on both sides, the tenants didn't care to let management know that there was a leak)

After

Before
(I literally scrubbed this shower with major cleaners and disinfectants for 2 hours one day and probably another hour the next day. AND that is including letting the cleaner sit OVERNIGHT for 2 days. DISGUSTING)!

After

(So safe to shower now...no diseases thank you! lol)

And of course the random note for the day...we have spiders...I freaked out of course...we have only seen one, it was in the shower...but I do not like...I hate actually...and am now scared to use the bathroom in the middle of the night thanks to Mr random big ugly spidey. =P
